Our continued growth and success have created the need for a Business Intelligence Engineer supporting our fast-growing Business Intelligence team. This is an opportunity to play a meaningful role in the early stages of our cloud data infrastructure deployment.   

 

 

You will be utilizing your passion for data to execute our mission:

  • Develop, own, and maintain enterprise data engineering standards of operation across Encore’s data fabric for all business operations and services, including:
    • Data ELT and ETL configurations
    • Data warehousing, modeling, and user management
    • Data governance and assurance
  • Collaborate with leadership across organization and technical peers to gather data engineering requirements and convert them into operational data schemas in support of business analysis and improvement objectives
  • Work with the business systems operations team to resolve data anomalies while recommending and/or implementing data quality improvements
  • Monitor and maintain operational performance of the data pipeline tech stack, and optimize configuration of resources in support of cost management

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of SQL Experience, and either built or contributed to the construction of an enterprise cloud data pipeline/warehouse
  • Proficient cloud data warehouse technology such as Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift, or Snowflake, and data transport ETL/ELT technology such as FiveTran or Matillion
  • Proficient in Excel, including advanced formulas and Power Query
  • Independently motivated and comfortable working on initiatives as the sole owner and contributor
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and quickly pivot focus to meet moving deadlines
  • A desire and willingness to stay up to date on new technologies in the data engineering landscape, and identify opportunities to improve Encore’s tech stack

 

Preferred Skills:

 

Our ideal candidate will possess some of all the following:  

 

  • Experience in Power BI development, with a strong understanding of the DAX expression language, M Code, and Power BI tenant administration.
  • Experience with Python, R, or similar scripting languages.
  • Experience in an organization using the full suite of Microsoft products, including Windows, Azure, Power Platform, Outlook, and Access
