Overview

Encore Fire Protection stands at the forefront of the industry as a comprehensive full-service fire protection business serving the Northeast region spanning from Maine to Pennsylvania. With a vast customer base exceeding 30,000 and a dedicated workforce of over 1400 team members.

At Encore, our mission is more than a statement; it’s a commitment to delivering an unmatched experience to those who entrusted us with their safety and property. Through innovative solutions in fire suppression, sprinkler systems, and alarm, we strive to ensure the utmost protection to our customers.

But that’s just the beginning because what really sets Encore apart is simple. It’s our people. This isn’t just a slogan or something we slapped on a t-shirt (well we did that too). It’s a fundamental belief. We understand that exceptional people drive exceptional companies.

As a Regional Sales Director, understanding the role people play in propelling our business forward shapes our sales strategy. Prospective customers need to know that behind every service, small or large, stands a team of individuals who are equally as passionate at keeping millions of people safe as they are at making the customer service experience seamless.

Your Path to Success will be measured in these following ways:

Leading the team

  • Set goals, territories and KPM’s
  • Meet with reps one-on-one weekly to review performance, progress, and targets. [Weekly]
  • Deep-dive performance reviews for each rep twice per year. [Semiannually]
  • Coach reps on specific tactics: phone calls, email writing, follow up timing and “what to say/when/how”
  • Coach and support but don’t tolerate underperforming sales reps
  • Make sure the sales process is scalable to allow for reps to continue to sell more as their experience grows
  • Ensure that all available sales technologies, i.e. CRM, prospecting tool, etc. are used consistently and thoroughly
  • Plan and deliver training/skills sessions. Leverage outside resources to assist with trainings – make sure they are relevant/easily applied to the reps role [quarterly]
  • Conduct weekly sales team meetings.
  • Hold team building events onsite or offsite.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and train new sales reps.
  • Ensure reps work as a positive team and share their best practices regularly.

Customer Experience Management:

  • Have an in-depth understanding of customer needs/pain points/challenges – new and existing, and creatively work with the SAM’s and operational team(s) to deliver the best possible experience
  • Serve as an escalation point for customer issues and complaints regarding sales and service (administrative i.e. invoicing, etc. as well)
  • Provide guidance and set expectations and guardrails when developing customized pricing strategies/plans
  • Act as lead negotiator on large/complex opportunities

Your Goals:

  • Manage, coach, and lead a team of 10 salespeople
  • Increase market share in your assigned region
  • Maintain sales costs within the goal (predetermined) or (YOY increase/decrease depending on type of sale)
  • Responsible for overall sales growth at top line as well as booked margin increase YOY
