Are you fascinated with project management but don't know where to start or how you'll get the experience you need? Do people naturally gravitate towards you because you are friendly, energetic, and upbeat? As part of Encore's mission to be the best fire protection company the industry has ever seen, we have recently joined forces with Checkmate Security Systems, Inc. based out of Babylon, New York. This partnership not only allows us to expand our footprint and find top talent in the area, it also allows us to work with industry leaders who strive for same level of excellence as we do.

So, let's start by letting you in on a little secret, good or even great project managers don't start their career by being the highly technical subject matter expert. But they do start by having a willingness to learn and an undeniable determination to just go figure it out. That's why at Encore, we are all about hiring for attitude and training for skill.

Encore is an industry leading, full-service fire protection company serving all of the Northeast. Over the past 30 years, Encore Fire Protection has developed a time-tested model that combines technical experience, committed customer service, and a straightforward approach to operations and communication. We have a customer first approach to everything we do, and that's why it is imperative that this person has a strong social orientation and a desire to serve people.

Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Liaison with contractors and engineers on schedules, permits, inspections, work orders and providing administrative support to the project management team.
  • Preparing and updating project and building files ensuring completeness and accuracy.
