Overview

Position Summary:

We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Director of Revenue Operations to lead and optimize our revenue operations function. This role is integral to the alignment of sales, marketing, and customer success teams to drive sustainable revenue growth and operational excellence across the organization. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the operational systems and structures that support revenue generation, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing strategies that maximize performance and scalability.

At Encore, we are entrepreneurial in business model and in mindset, while simultaneously having the security of a code-driven, service-based industry. As we continue to grow and scale, we are always evolving and adapting to intelligent means of business. While revenue and sales operations functions have traditionally lived in the technology and SaaS space, Encore appreciates the importance of alignment across revenue-driving functions in driving efficiency and scaling their businesses.

As this is an entirely new function to Encore, similar to many service-based companies, this is a unique opportunity for someone to come in and apply their Rev/Sales Ops expertise to a fast-paced and dynamic business. You will be given a lot of runway, ability to use your voice and impact longstanding changes!

Key Responsibilities:

Revenue Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and execute revenue operations strategies to support the company's growth objectives and revenue goals.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define and refine key revenue metrics, ensuring alignment across sales, marketing, and customer success functions.
  • Drive forecasting, pipeline management, and capacity planning to optimize revenue generation.
  • Establish revenue targets, KPIs, and performance tracking systems to ensure the company meets or exceeds financial goals.

Sales Operations Management:

  • Oversee and optimize sales processes, including lead management, sales pipeline forecasting, territory planning, and compensation strategies.
  • Implement and manage CRM tools and ensure their effective use to support sales activities and reporting.
  • Provide actionable insights through reporting and analysis to enable the sales team to perform to its highest potential.
  • Collaborate with the sales leadership team to drive process improvements and remove operational roadblocks.

Technology & Tools Optimization:

  • Oversee the evaluation, selection, and implementation of tools and technologies to enhance revenue operations capabilities (e.g., CRM, sales enablement, analytics platforms, and marketing automation).
  • Continuously assess the tech stack for opportunities to streamline processes, improve data flow, and increase overall productivity.

Data Management and Analytics:

  • Maintain and analyze sales data, creating actionable reports and dashboards on metrics like pipeline health, performance trends, and revenue forecasts.
  • Offer data-driven insights to identify opportunities and address challenges proactively.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Proactively identify areas for improvement across the revenue operations function and drive initiatives that improve processes, enhance efficiency, and optimize revenue generation.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices to ensure the company is adopting innovative approaches to revenue operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or a related field is required.
  • 10+ years of experience in sales operations, revenue operations, marketing operations or related experience.
  • Successfully led revenue operations functions at either technology companies or services businesses, ideally with a mix of mid-market and large enterprise client base.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools like HubSpot and data visualization platforms.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work across departments effectively.
