Encore’s continued success and growth has created a need for a Fire Alarm Technician working out of our Baltimore, MD office.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Troubleshoot and inspect both basic and complex fire alarm systems with limited or no supervision.
  • Conduct regular inspections in accordance with NFPA 72 (National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code) and local regulations.
  • Use our web-based platform, ServiceTrade, to document deficiencies, malfunctions, or violations related to fire alarm systems.
  • Ensure alarm panels, detectors, notification devices, and emergency power systems are all operational.
  • Coordinate with contractors, customers, building maintenance, and office staff to get the job done.
  • Identify code and non-conformance issues and make recommendations for system improvements or upgrades.
  • Show an exceptional work ethic and eye for detail in all tasks.

 

What You’ll Need:

  • Three (3) years fire alarm industry experience with training and a High School diploma
  • A clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.
  • Extensive understanding of NFPA 72, NEC, fire alarm system theory, OSHA requirements, and industry standards for fire alarm installation.
  • Experience with various systems including Gamewell-FCI, Siemens, Notifier, Edwards, Simplex, Honeywell, Fire-Lite, etc.
  • A customer service mindset and proficiency with technology and mobile devices.
  • NICET certification preferred, but not required.
