Are you a high-energy, dynamic professional with a knack for procurement? Encore Fire Protection, the largest full-service fire protection company in the Northeast, is seeking a talented Purchasing Specialist to join our thriving procurement team at our headquarters in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

 

The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for the procurement of materials, tools, and equipment required for the sprinkler install business. This position operates primarily in-office, coordinating closely with, operations, vendors to ensure timely, cost-effective purchasing and timely purchase order processing with accounts payable.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Source and procure materials and equipment from approved vendors.
  • Issue purchase orders (POs), verify order confirmations, and track deliveries.
  • Ensure proper processing of purchase orders for timely invoice processing
  • Resolve supply discrepancies, invoice issues, or delivery delays.
  • Maintain accurate records in ERP systems SAGE and Service Trade.
  • Collaborate with operations, outside procurement to meet jobsite needs.
  • Monitor lead times for long-lead and custom-fabricated items
  • Manage RFQs and analyze supplier responses.

What You'll Need to Do It:

  • 3–5 years of purchasing experience in the construction or fire protection industry.
  • Strong knowledge of fire protection products and supply chains.
  • Familiarity with procurement software (e.g., Viewpoint, SAP, Sage).
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
