What You’ll Do:

As a Fire Alarm Technician, you’ll be at the heart of ensuring safety and compliance for our customers. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Servicing, programming, testing, inspecting, and troubleshooting fire alarm systems, ranging from basic to complex. (Installation skills are a plus but not required.)
  • Responding to emergency calls promptly, which may occasionally include nights, weekends, and on-call shifts.
  • Coordinating with contractors, customers, building maintenance staff, and office personnel to complete daily tasks efficiently.
  • Identifying code and non-compliance issues and offering accurate recommendations for system improvements.
  • Committing to the successful troubleshooting and repair of assigned customer systems.
  • Upholding high standards of work ethic and attention to detail.

 

What You'll Bring to the Table:

  • A valid Connecticut Electrical License.
  • A high school diploma (industry experience is preferred but not required).
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Extensive knowledge of NFPA 72, NEC, fire alarm system theory, OSHA requirements, and industry standards for fire alarm systems installation.
  • Familiarity with systems from manufacturers such as Gamewell-FCI, Siemens, Notifier, Edwards, Simplex, Honeywell, Firelite, and more.
