Naturally outgoing, detail-oriented, and unapologetically persistent—that’s who we’re looking for. The people who thrive in this role are known for being able to start a conversation with just about anyone and for never backing down from a challenge. Sound like you? You might be the next person to join our growing team at Encore Fire Protection.
Externally, we call this an Inside Sales Specialist. Internally, we know it as a System Integrity Specialist, because that’s exactly what you’ll be doing—helping customers stay safe and code-compliant by following up on fire sprinkler system deficiencies and connecting them with the right solutions.
But let’s be clear: this is not your typical inside sales job.
About 70% of your time will be spent in the office—reviewing inspection reports, building quotes, sending proposals, and communicating with customers by phone and email. The other 30%? That’s when you’ll be out in the field—meeting with customers face-to-face, building rapport, surveying fire sprinkler systems, and making sure your recommendations are spot-on.
You’ll also be paired with an outside sales executive and act as a key point of contact for your accounts. You’ll be the go-to person for questions, scope clarifications, contract renewals, and anything else your customers need to keep their buildings protected and their systems up to code.
If you’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys balancing technical work with customer relationships, and is ready to dive headfirst into the fire protection industry—this could be the perfect fit.
What You’ll Do
- Review inspection reports and deficiency documentation provided by inspectors
- Prepare and send quotes and proposals for sprinkler system repairs and recurring maintenance contracts
- Build strong relationships with customers and serve as their main point of contact for anything related to service and repairs
- Communicate with customers by phone and email to clarify scope, provide updates, and answer questions
- Collaborate with internal departments (like Operations) to ensure a seamless customer experience from quote to completion
- Track contract renewals, follow up on outstanding proposals, and handle light administrative tasks like forms, documentation, and scheduling
- Visit customer sites as needed to survey systems, build rapport, and ensure your recommendations are accurate and tailored
What We’re Looking For
- Formal sales experience that goes beyond retail or hospitality—ideally in a service-based or construction-related environment where building relationships and managing multiple moving parts is key
- A genuine willingness to learn. We’re prepared to teach you the ins and outs of alarm and sprinkler systems, but you need to be ready to commit to the learning curve. If you’re naturally competitive and eager to start producing right away, just know this role requires some upfront ramp-up time—and we want to be transparent about that
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- A people-first mindset—you’ll be building relationships, communicating clearly, and serving as the go-to for your customers
- Comfort with tech. We use platforms like ServiceTrade and HubSpot. Prior experience is great, but we’ll teach you what you need to know—as long as you're comfortable learning new tools
What We Offer
At Encore, we’re hyper-focused on building a culture that thrives on success and is energized by the fact that we make people’s lives safer every day. We believe in rewarding hard work, supporting personal growth, and creating an environment where people genuinely enjoy coming to work.
Here’s some of what you can expect:
- Competitive base salary plus a commission plan tied to your results
- Purpose-driven, results-oriented work environment (we value working smarter, not just harder)
- Flexible dress code—jeans most days, suits when needed. As long as you can read the room (or ask!), you’ll fit right in
- Encore gear for all new team members
- Snacks, coffee, and weekly office breakfasts or lunches
- A culture that encourages ownership, curiosity, and continuous improvement
- Access to industry-leading web-based tools and platforms
- Participation in a Fidelity 401(k) with employer match
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage through Blue Cross
- Company-paid life insurance policy of $50,000
