Encore Fire Protection is a full-service, industry-leading fire protection company serving a wide footprint from Maine to Louisiana. We support over 50,000 customers with the help of 2,000+ team members who are passionate about protecting people and property.

Our mission is more than a statement—it’s a commitment to delivering an unmatched experience to those who trust us with their safety. Through innovative solutions in fire suppression, sprinkler systems, and alarm systems, we strive to provide the highest level of protection for our customers.

But that’s just the beginning. What really sets Encore apart is simple: it’s our people. This isn’t just a slogan or something we slapped on a t-shirt (okay, we did that too). It’s a core belief—exceptional people build exceptional companies.

As part of our mission to be the best fire protection company the industry has ever seen, we recently joined forces with Fireline Corporation, headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland. This partnership expands our reach and gives us the opportunity to collaborate with top-tier talent and industry leaders who share our high standards for safety and service.

About the Role:

As our Director of Sales, your strategy starts with people. You’ll drive results by coaching, developing, and leading a high-performing sales team—while delivering a best-in-class customer experience. At Encore, we know our greatest differentiator isn’t just our services; it’s the people behind them. Whether it’s a small job or a complex project, our customers should feel the care, passion, and expertise of a team that’s as committed to safety as it is to service.

How You'll Succeed:

 Strategic Leadership & Team Development

  • Set and manage strategic sales goals, territories, and team structure to drive revenue growth and expand market presence
  • Coach and develop your team through regular 1:1s focused on both performance and long-term growth
  • Conduct twice-yearly performance reviews to identify trends, uncover opportunities, and address risks
  • Build a coaching culture that strengthens key sales skills like consultative selling, strategic prospecting, and complex deal navigation
  • Address underperformance directly and constructively, while fostering a high-accountability, high-results environment
  • Ensure the sales process can scale with the business—driving growth without simply adding more headcount
  • Leverage CRM, prospecting tools, and automation to bring consistency, visibility, and predictability to the sales funnel
  • Own sales enablement—running quarterly training and development initiatives with both internal and external resources
  • Lead purposeful, strategic team meetings focused on alignment, idea-sharing, and big-picture goals
  • Build team culture and morale with intentional onsite and offsite engagement
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, and career pathing for sales talent to ensure strong bench strength

 Customer Experience & Account Strategy

  • Stay in tune with customer needs and collaborate closely with Strategic Account Managers and Operations to deliver a seamless, customer-first experience
  • Step in as an executive point of contact when needed, especially on major accounts or tough service situations
  • Help shape pricing strategies for large or custom deals—balancing profitability with long-term value
  • Personally lead the negotiation and closing strategy on high-impact opportunities that move the needle for the business

Your Goals:

  • Lead, coach, and manage a team of 10 sales reps
  • Increase market share in your assigned territory
  • Manage sales costs in line with performance goals
  • Drive top-line sales growth and year-over-year margin improvement

What We Offer:

As a company, Encore is hyper-focused on developing a culture that thrives on success and is energized by the fact that we get to make peoples' lives better and safer each day. One of the ways we do this is by generously rewarding all those who contribute to our continued growth. But we also believe that not all rewards are monetary.

Here are just a few perks you can expect in this role:

  • Competitive salary based on experience, with bonus potential tied to performance
  • No matter how you found us, we’re all about growth—yours and ours. While we’re required to post salary ranges (because transparency matters), we strongly encourage you to apply even if your expectations don’t line up exactly with the numbers. We’re a fast-evolving company with roles, projects, and opportunities that often go beyond what’s listed online.  If you’re excited about the work we’re doing and the culture we have, we’d love to hear from you.
  • Purpose- and results-driven work environment (work smarter, not harder)
  • We dress for the objective—most days it’s jeans, occasionally it’s a suit. If you know which is which (or aren’t afraid to ask), you’ll be all set
  • Speaking of attire—we provide Encore gear for all new team members
  • Freedom to express ideas—a culture of testing, adapting, CHANGING, and improving as needed
  • Access to leading edge web-based productivity tools
  • Comprehensive benefits package including:
    • Medical, dental, and vision through Blue Cross
    • 401(k) with employer match
    • Company-paid life insurance policy
