As part of Encore's mission, we have recently joined forces with Sprinker Systems Inc. based out of Lewiston, ME. This partnership not only allows us to expand our footprint and find top talent in the Maine area, it also allows us to work with industry leaders who strive for same level of excellence as we do.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Prepare fire protection design drawings using SprinkCAD with HydraCADD overlay
- Perform field surveys on active construction sites
- Attend project management meetings (off site if necessary) to facilitate project completion in consideration of timeline and budget
- Develop 2- and 3-dimensional plans for fire sprinkler systems
What You Will Need to Do it:
- Working knowledge of SprinkCAD
- Ability to read and interpret architectural & mechanical engineering drawings/blueprints
- Willingness to go to construction sites and complete surveys to identify possibly code issues and apply solutions
- Strong desire to work in a team setting
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal are required
- 3-5 years of fire sprinkler system design experience
- Basic knowledge of HydraCad a plus but not required
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Requirements:
- Experience and/or education in the construction industry is preferred but if you don’t have that, all we ask is for you to show up with a positive, "can-do" attitude, and genuine interest in learning our industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a non-negotiable must as well an overall aptitude for embracing new technology
- Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- The position requires above average attention to details, concern for the exact correctness of work, and strong commitment to tasks completed on time.
- Driver's license and access to reliable transportation. This position will regularly bring you out of the office, either to job sites or to building departments around the state
