At Encore Fire Protection, we are proud to be the east coast's largest full-service fire protection company, serving over 90,000 customers from Maine to Louisiana. With a team of over 2,200 dedicated employees, we provide innovative, customized fire suppression, fire sprinkler, and fire alarm solutions that protect lives and properties every day. Our goal is to deliver superior experience to those who trust us to safeguard what matters most. We are passionate about continuous growth, innovation, and maintaining a culture that thrives on success and commitment to safety. Our mission? To be the best fire protection company the industry has ever seen.
As a part of Encore's mission, we are looking for an Estimator Trainee to join our New Hampshire team out of the Keene, NH office!
Here’s what you can expect:
This is a great opportunity to break into the life safety industry without prior experience in sprinkler systems. You’ll receive full training and support—your job is to show up ready to learn, engage with customers, and grow into a key part of our team.
- Visit customer sites, take measurements, and assist in creating accurate estimates for new sprinkler system installations
- Build and maintain estimates, quotes, and basic pre-engineering proposals tailored to customer needs
- Learn to review construction documents and coordinate with general contractors, owners, and internal stakeholders to define scope
- Collaborate daily with our internal teams—project managers, field technicians, designers, and sales—to ensure accurate pricing and seamless handoffs
- Roughly 70% of your time will be spent building estimates and supporting technical needs. The other 30% will be spent in the field—meeting customers, surveying systems, and building relationships
Requirements:
You do not need experience in fire protection to succeed in this role. If you're motivated, coachable, and ready to dive into something new, you’ll do just fine.
- You must be willing to learn. This isn’t a role where you hit the ground running—there’s a learning curve. We’ll guide you, but you need to bring the patience and drive to keep at it.
- You must be confident working with numbers and measurements. Estimating is all about accuracy—being detail-oriented and methodical is key.
- You must be good on the computer. That means solid proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and especially Excel. We also use tools like Hubspot and ServiceTrade. You don’t need to know them now, but you must be willing to learn them quickly.
- You must enjoy working with people. Whether it’s a customer or a colleague, strong communication and relationship-building skills are critical. You’ll often be the bridge between technical teams and the client.
- You should have some formal work experience—ideally in an office, sales, or service-oriented environment. Experience selling a service (not just a product) is a bonus, but not required.
What We Offer:
At Encore, we’re all about creating a culture where success is celebrated. We recognize that our work makes people’s lives safer, and we reward those who contribute to our growth. Here’s what you can expect:
- Competitive Salary: Compensation commensurate with your experience, with the opportunity to earn performance-based bonuses tied to your personal effectiveness and contributions to the team.
- Purpose-Driven Work Environment: We believe in working smarter, not harder. You’ll be part of a culture that values results, and we empower our team to focus on impactful work.
- Flexible Dress Code: Upon joining, you’ll receive branded Encore gear and we believe in dressing for the objective, not the occasion. Most days, you can enjoy a casual work environment, but we’ll dress up when the situation calls for it.
- Innovative Culture: We encourage a culture of experimentation and improvement. You’ll have the freedom to express your ideas and be part of a company that is always looking to improve and grow.
- Tools for Success: Access to leading-edge web-based productivity tools.
- Health and Wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage through Blue Cross to keep you and your family healthy.
- Retirement Planning: Participation in our Fidelity 401(k) plan with a company match, helping you save for your future.
- Life Insurance: Company-paid life insurance policy of $50,000 to give you peace of mind.
