Position Overview:

As an IT Technician, you'll be the go-to person for setting up new team member technology, providing essential technological support, maintaining hardware inventory, and collaborating with other team members for seamless technology integration. From setting up systems to shipping technology, you'll play a crucial role in our company.

Technician, by definition, is someone highly skilled in the technology field, and at Encore, we're committed to finding and training the right person to achieve that level of expertise. If you're tech-savvy, proactive, and ready to dive into a supportive and exciting environment, this is the perfect opportunity.

What You'll Be Doing:

You'll need a foundation and genuine passion for technology and helping others. You will work with various devices, applications, and business systems daily, so a knack for technology is essential. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Provide basic technical support for IT-related issues, including computers, mobile devices, printers, and applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve common hardware and software problems for end-users.
  • Assist with setting up new equipment, installing software updates, and maintaining user accounts.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to keep systems running smoothly and securely.
  • Maintain accurate records of support tickets and hardware inventory.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive and efficient technology experience for all staff.

What You'll Need to Do It:

This IT Technician position may be entry-level, but we’d encourage anyone applying to see this as an entry point into an organization that genuinely values ambition and rewards hard work. The only limits are the ones you set for yourself. Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • 0-2 years of experience working in an IT support or help desk environment (internships or school projects count!).
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, networking, and troubleshooting concepts.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Bonus Skills (not required, but a plus!):

  • Experience with IT ticketing systems.
  • Exposure to mobile device management or cloud services (like AWS).
  • Interest in learning about fire protection technologies.

What We Offer: At Encore, we’re all about creating a culture where success is celebrated. We recognize that our work makes people’s lives safer, and we reward those who contribute to our growth. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Competitive Salary: Compensation commensurate with your experience, with the opportunity to earn performance-based bonuses tied to your personal effectiveness and contributions to the team.
  • Purpose-Driven Work Environment: We believe in working smarter, not harder. You’ll be part of a culture that values results, and we empower our team to focus on impactful work.
  • Flexible Dress Code: Upon joining, you’ll receive branded Encore gear and we believe in dressing for the objective, not the occasion. Most days, you can enjoy a casual work environment, but we’ll dress up when the situation calls for it.
  • Innovative Culture: We encourage a culture of experimentation and improvement. You’ll have the freedom to express your ideas and be part of a company that is always looking to improve and grow.
  • Tools for Success: Access to leading-edge web-based productivity tools.
  • Health and Wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage through Blue Cross to keep you and your family healthy.
  • Retirement Planning: Participation in our Fidelity 401(k) plan with a company match, helping you save for your future.
  • Life Insurance: Company-paid life insurance policy of $50,000 to give you peace of mind.
