What You'll Be Doing:

• Provide preventive maintenance inspections and servicing using hand tools and testing equipment.
• Perform functional and operational tests on equipment.
• Inspect, repair, and replace fire extinguishers and emergency lights.
• Provide on-site emergency troubleshooting of fire suppression systems.
• Replace defective sections of hoses.
• Complete and accurately record required information onto system inspection and field reports.
• Document deficiencies at the customer level and notify appropriate persons responsible for non-conformance issues.
• Evaluate customer's site for additional equipment and services that customers may require.
• Maintain company vehicles and appropriate inventory levels for jobs.
• Work in compliance with the Company's safety program.
• Capability to identify or willingness to learn and understand fire (NFPA) Codes.

• High school diploma is required. Industry experience preferred
• Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation with willingness to travel within the state of Maryland
• Strong attention to detail
• Understanding of complex blueprints and solid written and verbal skills
• Familiarity with the national fire codes
• Thorough knowledge of fire suppression systems and the necessary tools
• Ability to work in a wide variety of conditions, including heights up to 30 feet or more and also be able to work in
  adverse weather conditions
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Experience in lift operations and OSHA guidelines
• NAFED certification a plus
