Position Overview:
Focusing on web based business applications, The Lead Application Developer will be responsible for managing, developing, and producing web applications based on the needs and of our organization. This role involves hands-on interactions with application development, coding, and project management. The ideal candidate will have a talent for developing integrated, effective, efficient, and intuitive solutions in a team environment. Previous leadership/mentoring experience in motivating team members by recognizing and encouraging positive behaviors and collaboration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Define app specifications, features, life cycle, development path, resources, and project scope.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and end users to gather requirements to ensure development alignment.
- Manage, develop, code, update, and deploy web applications alongside the development team.
- Define processes and procedures in collaboration with training for any app releases.
- Ensure the health, configuration, redundancy, and security of web applications.
- Mentor other developers on technical issues and modern web development best practices.
- Participate in the analysis, definition, and scoping of new projects.
- Understand and strive to meet or exceed project milestones and deadlines.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in web app development, project management, coding, and programming client and server languages.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, PHP, CSS3, HTML5, MySQL, SQL, Nginx, Windows, Docker, Containers and Servers.
- Ability to clearly communicate and receive conceptual ideas to and from stakeholders and end users.
- Hands-on skills and knowledge base that can complement and lead a development project and team.
- Demonstrated ability to manage changing priorities and work under pressure.
- Intermediate to advanced UI/UX design and development skills.
- Knowledge of browser compatibility and web security practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively multi-task.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with responsive design techniques.
- Knowledge of network security principles.
- Familiarity with Microsoft server proficiency and hardware configuration.
- Soft skills such as being driven, creative, flexible, and having a great personality.
