Overview:

We’re looking for an AWS Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to help design, build, and maintain the cloud environments that power our business. You’ll work closely with teams across the organization to create secure, scalable, and reliable systems that keep operations running smoothly. This role is hands-on, collaborative, and ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems and finding smarter ways to run the cloud.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure to support growing business needs.
  • Implement and maintain best practices for AWS networking and security, including VPC, IAM, and security groups.
  • Monitor and optimize performance to ensure environments stay reliable, secure, and cost-efficient.
  • Manage cloud computing and database systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Use IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS concepts to deliver flexible, well-structured solutions that meet business goals.
  • Utilize GitHub for version control and CI/CD pipelines, enabling efficient and reliable software delivery.
  • Partner with internal and external teams to ensure cloud solutions integrate smoothly into existing systems.
  • Contribute to M&A integration projects by providing technical support and ensuring smooth transitions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5–7 years of experience building and managing cloud infrastructure in AWS.
  • Proven ability to design secure, scalable, and reliable production environments.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing principles and database management.
  • Familiarity with GitHub for source control and workflow automation.
  • Comfortable using IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models to design practical, cost-effective solutions.
  • Experience leading or supporting cloud integrations during mergers, acquisitions, or major system changes.

Nice to Have:

  • Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and scripting tasks
  • Exposure to Nginx, Apache, or Linux server administration.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker in real-world deployments.

What We Offer: At Encore, we’re all about creating a culture where success is celebrated. We recognize that our work makes people’s lives safer, and we reward those who contribute to our growth. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Competitive Salary: Compensation commensurate with your experience, with the opportunity to earn performance-based bonuses tied to your personal effectiveness and contributions to the team.

  • Flexible Dress Code: Upon joining, you’ll receive branded Encore gear and we believe in dressing for the objective, not the occasion. Most days, you can enjoy a casual work environment, but we’ll dress up when the situation calls for it.
  • Innovative Culture: We encourage a culture of experimentation and improvement. You’ll have the freedom to express your ideas and be part of a company that is always looking to improve and grow.
  • Tools for Success: Access to leading-edge web-based productivity tools.

  • Retirement Planning: Participation in our Fidelity 401(k) plan with a company match, helping you save for your future.
