At Encore Fire Protection, we are proud to be the East Coast's largest full-service fire protection company, serving over 90,000 customers from Maine to Louisiana. Our team of more than 2,400 dedicated employees provides innovative, customized fire suppression, fire sprinkler, and fire alarm solutions that protect lives and property every day.
Our goal is to deliver a superior experience to those who trust us to safeguard what matters most. We are passionate about continuous growth, innovation, and maintaining a culture that thrives on success and commitment to safety.
Our mission? To be the best fire protection company the industry has ever seen. To get there, we need leaders who are ready to scale, transform, and build for what’s next.
The Opportunity:
As our Director of Sales, your strategy starts with people. You will drive results by coaching, developing, and leading a high-performing sales team while delivering a best-in-class customer experience. At Encore, we know our greatest differentiator is not just our services but the people behind them. Whether it is a small job or a complex project, our customers should feel the care, passion, and expertise of a team committed to safety and service.
In this role, you will shape the sales team’s approach from opportunity to close, refine processes, measure performance, and provide actionable insights to leadership. You will partner closely with the EVP of Sales, regional leaders, Finance, and Operations to align daily activity with long-term goals, turn data into guidance, identify risks early, and ensure resources, targets, and strategy are connected. This high-visibility role is ideal for someone who thrives at both the strategic and tactical levels and takes pride in building systems that enable people to succeed.
How You Will Succeed:
Lead and Grow the Team

Improve Process, Tools, and Performance
- Design and refine sales processes to improve consistency, efficiency, and scalability.
- Ensure CRM and sales tools support accurate data and real-world usage.
- Streamline manual tasks, maintain dashboards and reporting, and provide insights that support forecasting and performance management.
Support Customers, Deals, and Cross-Functional Execution
- Stay close to customer needs and partner with Strategic Account Managers and Operations.
- Step in on major accounts when needed, shape pricing strategies, and lead negotiation and closing on high-impact deals.
- Drive sales enablement, run training, and collaborate with Operations, Finance, Marketing, and HR to keep strategies aligned with company goals.
What You Bring to the Table:
- 10 to 15 years of experience in sales, sales operations, or revenue operations, ideally in a B2B service-oriented or route-based business.
- Proven success leading and developing high-performing sales teams.

- Solid project management skills, including the ability to prioritize, manage timelines, and drive cross-functional initiatives to completion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to explain complex topics clearly and build trust across teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast-growing, dynamic environment, balancing structure with flexibility to keep sales teams effective.
What Makes You Stand Out:
- Experience in fire protection, construction, or recurring service industries.
- Exposure to private equity-backed companies, KPI-driven operating models, or value creation initiatives.
- Hands-on involvement in designing or supporting sales compensation plans.
- Experience with advanced analytics, business intelligence, or data visualization tools.
- Proven track record of building or scaling sales operations or revenue operations capabilities over time.
