This continued success has created a need for a BDA Fire Alarm Technician to work out of our Baltimore, MD territory.

Here's a glimpse of some of the responsibilities you will be doing day to day:

• Test and install Bi-Directional Amplifier (BDA) and Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) to enhance emergency responder radio coverage in buildings.

• Integrate BDA systems with Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACP) and ensure proper signaling and compliance.

• Read and interpret construction documents, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications.

• Maintain up-to-date records and documentation related to project activities and progress.

• Coordinate with general contractors, project managers, and inspectors.

Requirements:

• Must have an active FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License or equivalent
• Experience with BDA/ERRCS or public safety DAS systems (1-3 years preferred)
• Strong understanding of RF theory, signal propagation, coaxial infrastructure, and 
  donor antenna alignment
• Ability to operate RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal meters, PIM 
  testers, sweep gear).  
• Knowledge of cabling standards: plenum coax, connectors, splitters, couplers, 
  attenuators.
• Comfortable working on lifts, ladders, rooftops, and mechanical spaces.
• Ability to read prints and work with project managers on material lists and layouts.
• Strong communication, documentation, and customer-service skills.
• NICET certifications (preferred but not required)

Hourly pay commensurate with experience with opportunity for a results-driven bonus based on personal output and effectiveness in role. Expected salary range between $40.00 - $50.00 per hour.
