Who We Are

At Encore Fire Protection, we’re proud to be the East Coast’s largest full-service fire protection company, serving more than 90,000 customers from Maine to Louisiana. With over 2,400 employees, we design, install, inspect, and service fire protection systems that protect lives and property every day.

Our goal is simple: deliver a better experience to the customers and communities that depend on us. We grow with purpose, invest in our people, and build teams that take safety, accountability, and teamwork seriously.

Our mission is to be the best fire protection company the industry has ever seen.

The Opportunity

Do you like being close to the action? Are you organized, detail-oriented, and at your best when you’re helping keep work moving forward? Do you want to grow into a Project Manager role but value learning from experienced leaders along the way?

We’re looking for an Assistant Project Manager to support sprinkler installation work within our fire protection operations. In this role, you’ll work closely with Project Managers, field supervisors, technicians, and customers to help plan work, track progress, and keep projects organized from start to finish.

This is a hands-on role with real responsibility. You won’t just push paper. You’ll learn how fire protection projects are estimated, scheduled, executed, and closed out while building the foundation for a long-term career in project management.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Assistant Project Manager, you’ll help keep service work connected and moving by supporting planning, communication, and execution. You’ll learn to balance safety, schedule, and cost while helping remove obstacles for the field. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting Project Managers with day-to-day coordination of service and small construction projects

  • Assisting with scheduling technicians, tracking work progress, and updating project timelines

  • Helping manage customer communication, including scheduling, updates, and basic issue resolution

  • Coordinating material and equipment needs, including ordering and delivery tracking

  • Reviewing scopes of work, work orders, and basic drawings to ensure field execution aligns with expectations

  • Tracking job costs, change requests, and documentation under the guidance of the Project Manager

  • Participating in site walks, job meetings, and inspections to build field and customer relationships

  • Helping maintain accurate project records, reports, and closeout documentation

  • Representing Encore professionally with technicians, customers, vendors, and partners

You’ll be supported by experienced Project Managers and given increasing responsibility as you grow.

What You Bring to the Table

  • 2–5 years of experience in construction, service operations, or a trade-adjacent role

  • Exposure to project coordination, field operations, estimating, or scheduling

  • Ability to read and understand basic construction documents, drawings, and scopes

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Clear communication skills and comfort working with both field teams and customers

  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and stay organized in a fast-paced environment

  • Comfort using everyday business tools such as email, spreadsheets, and scheduling or tracking systems

  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel locally as needed

  • Ability to work at heights and lift up to 50 pounds when required

What Will Help You Stand Out

  • Experience in fire protection, mechanical, electrical, or specialty construction trades

  • Familiarity with service work or fast-turn projects

  • Exposure to project management or scheduling software

  • Interest in growing into a Project Manager role

  • Industry certifications, trade schooling, or construction-related training

Beyond the Paycheck

At Encore, we invest in people who want to grow. You’ll join a team that values effort, development, and results.

What we offer:

  • Competitive Salary based on experience, with growth potential

  • Career Development with clear pathways into Project Manager roles

  • Purpose-Driven Work that directly impacts safety and communities

  • Flexible Dress Code with Encore-provided branded apparel

  • People-First Culture that encourages learning and improvement

  • Modern Tools and systems to help you succeed

  • Comprehensive Benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage

  • 401(k) with Company Match through Fidelity

  • Company-Paid Life Insurance of $50,000
