Who We Are

At Encore Fire Protection, we are proud to be the east coast's largest full-service fire protection company, serving over 90,000 customers from Maine to Louisiana. With a team of over 2,200 dedicated employees, we provide innovative, customized fire suppression, fire sprinkler, and fire alarm solutions that protect lives and properties every day.

Our goal is to deliver superior experience to those who trust us to safeguard what matters most. We are passionate about continuous growth, innovation, and maintaining a culture that thrives on success and commitment to safety. Our mission? To be the best fire protection company the industry has ever seen.

The Opportunity

Externally, this position is called Account Executive, but internally, it’s referred to as SOW, short for Share of Wallet—because the focus is on expanding existing customer relationships rather than pursuing a long list of new accounts. You will partner with current Encore customers to expand services, secure renewals, add new locations, and become their go-to resource for all things fire protection.

These are not cold leads; you are stepping into established relationships where Encore has already proven our value. Your mission is to deepen that trust, uncover new opportunities, and keep the partnership moving forward year over year.

Success in this role comes from connecting with customers. If you enjoy helping customers, asking good questions, and spotting opportunities where others see routine work, this role will feel like a strong fit.

Key Responsibilities

You focus on the customers already in your book of business, making sure they stay with Encore, grow with Encore, and think of Encore first when new needs come up. On any given day, that means tracking renewals, uncovering cross sell and upsell opportunities across services and locations, and coordinating with internal teams so what we promise is what gets delivered.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage a defined book of existing customers with a focus on expansion, retention, and referrals.
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across systems, locations, and services, for example inspections, service, monitoring, and projects.
  • Own the renewal process, tracking contract terms and dates, and engaging customers early to keep agreements current.
  • Source and track public and private bid opportunities tied to your accounts, so we stay ahead of upcoming work.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for your customers, helping them navigate questions and decisions related to fire protection.
  • Collaborate closely with service, installation, and operations teams to ensure a smooth, consistent customer experience from proposal through delivery.
  • Build, review, and coordinate proposals and supporting documents in partnership with internal teams.
  • Keep your activities, pipelines, renewals, and follow-ups organized and up to date in HubSpot, our CRM.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Three to five years of professional experience, ideally in sales, account management, customer success, or other service-based roles
  • Excellent communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication with both internal teams and customers
  • Comfort working with tools such as Excel and PowerPoint, or Google Sheets and Slides, to track activity and support proposals
  • Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple accounts, renewals, and follow-ups at the same time
  • A self-starter mindset with a team-first attitude, high level of ownership, and willingness to learn and adapt as the business evolves

What Will Make You Stand Out?

  • You have experience using CRM software, and experience with HubSpot is considered a strong plus.
  • You have experience working in a private equity-backed environment where KPIs, growth targets, and value creation plans are a regular part of the conversation.
  • You have prior experience in fire protection, life safety, building services, facilities management, or another recurring service-based industry.
  • You are familiar with ServiceTrade or similar industry specific service platforms.
  • You have exposure to sales tools such as Dealhub, Convex Atlas, or ZoomInfo to support account planning and opportunity identification.
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
