The Opportunity

This position is designed for individuals with leadership potential who want to build a long-term career in operations, project management, or field leadership. You will rotate through core parts of the business including design, estimating, project management, field operations, and customer service to gain a strong understanding of how our Install division runs at every level.

 

You will receive hands on training, shadow senior leaders, participate in real projects, and gain experience making decisions that directly impact job performance. Key Responsibilities

As a Management Trainee, your day-to-day will change as you rotate through different parts of the business, but the common thread is simple; you are learning how jobs get sold, planned, installed, and supported at Encore. Some days you will be in the field walking projects with supervisors, other days you will be in the office helping build schedules, review budgets, or solve customer questions.

  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and overseeing fire sprinkler installation projects to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
  • Gain hands-on experience managing teams, coordinating field operations, and ensuring compliance with company standards and safety regulations.
  • Support senior management in building and maintaining strong client relationships and resolving project challenges proactively.
  • Collaborate with field supervisors and technicians to promote efficient workflows, clear communication, and high-quality workmanship.
  • Analyze project budgets, monitor costs, and identify opportunities to improve profitability and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local codes, as well as company safety and quality standards.
  • Rotate through design, estimating, project management, and field operations to gain a well-rounded understanding of the business.
  • Contribute to long-term planning initiatives, identifying areas for growth and operational improvement.
  • Work closely with senior leaders to learn best practices, receive ongoing coaching, and prepare for future leadership roles.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field
  • Three to five years of relevant experience in team leadership, operations, or project coordination preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities including taking initiative, motivating others, and making informed decisions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with teams, clients, and cross functional partners
  • Experience with software such as Procore, Microsoft Excel, or Google Workspace preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and perform well in a fast-paced training environment
  • Willingness to learn, try new things, adapt to change, and accept coaching
  • Motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to advance within the organization

What Makes You Stand Out

  • You have experience working in a private equity-backed or rapidly growing service or construction environment.
  • You have education or certifications in operations, construction, project management, or leadership development.
