With a team of over 2,200 dedicated employees, we provide innovative, customized fire suppression, fire sprinkler, and fire alarm solutions that protect lives and properties every day.

Our goal is to deliver superior experience to those who trust us to safeguard what matters most. We are passionate about continuous growth, innovation, and maintaining a culture that thrives on success and commitment to safety. Our mission? To be the best fire protection company the industry has ever seen.

The Opportunity

As a Fire Sprinkler Inspector Apprentice at Encore, you will gain hands-on experience in the fast-growing fire protection industry while working alongside experienced technicians. This role is designed for individuals who want to develop their skills in inspections, testing, and system maintenance for fire sprinkler systems. You will learn how to assess and maintain sprinkler systems, support inspection and service work in commercial buildings, and build a strong technical foundation that can lead to future roles in the field or in service operations.

If you are interested in the construction or fire protection industry and want to learn a trade by working directly on active systems, this role offers a clear path to get started.

Key Responsibilities

Day-to-day, you will be out in the field learning how real sprinkler systems work, not just reading about them. You will start by supporting experienced inspectors on the basics and gradually take on more hands-on tasks as your skills grow. In this role, you will:

  • Work under the direct supervision of a qualified Sprinkler Inspector or Journeyman.
  • Assist in inspecting, testing, maintaining, and servicing fire sprinkler systems in commercial buildings.
  • Assemble, install, and maintain system components as directed by your mentor.
  • Represent Encore professionally while interacting with customers, directly and indirectly.
  • Develop skills in reading blueprints, using hand tools, and operating basic equipment.
  • Work both independently on assigned tasks and collaboratively in a team setting.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Minimum of one year of experience in construction, mechanical, or electrical work preferred, but not required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn
  • Ability to work at heights and lift at least 50 pounds
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, with willingness to travel within the assigned territory
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Interest in the construction or fire protection industry

What Makes You Stand Out

  • You have prior experience in construction, mechanical work, or similar field tasks to those described above.
  • You have experience working on active construction sites and following job site safety practices.
