Who We Are

At Encore Fire Protection, we are proud to be the East Coast's largest full-service fire protection company, serving over 90,000 customers from Maine to Louisiana. Our team of more than 2,400 dedicated employees provides customized fire protection solutions that protect lives and property every day.

Our goal is to deliver a unique experience to those who depend on us to make their lives safer and easier. We are passionate about growing with purpose, driving real innovation, and creating a winning culture built on teamwork, success, and an unwavering commitment to safety.

Our mission? To be the best fire protection company the industry has ever seen.

The Opportunity

At Encore, operational leadership is where strategy turns into measurable results. As Director of Operations, you will own and run a single location as if it were your own business, with complete accountability for a $30M to $50M P&L, 75 to 125 employees across field, office, and warehouse, and every outcome in between.

That means knowing your business at every level. The numbers, the people, the customers, and the gaps. You set the tone, build the culture, and drive the results. This is your location to lead.

You will partner closely with Sales, Finance, Talent, and Executive Leadership to align growth strategy and operational execution. At Encore's pace of growth, Directors who perform here have a clear path to regional leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own full operational leadership of a single location, driving revenue growth, profitability, customer retention, and service excellence
  • Lead, coach, and develop a large cross-functional team across field and office functions, with a focus on leadership depth and succession planning
  • Build, monitor, and continuously improve KPI scorecards across labor productivity, backlog health, safety, quoting cycle time, close rate, margin performance, and customer satisfaction
  • Partner with Finance on forecasting, budgeting, headcount planning, and monthly business reviews
  • Create operational consistency across scheduling, dispatch, field execution, warehouse processes, and administrative workflows
  • Partner with Sales leadership to improve deficiency sales conversion, account growth, and customer responsiveness
  • Oversee warehouse and fleet support functions to ensure technicians are equipped and operations run efficiently
  • Lead technology rollouts and process standardization efforts that strengthen Encore's operational foundation
  • Serve as senior escalation point for customer concerns, people matters, and operational risk
  • Foster a culture rooted in accountability, urgency, safety, and collaboration

What You Bring to the Table

  • 8 to 15 years of operations or related experience, with significant and progressive leadership responsibility
  • Proven success owning a business unit or location with full P&L accountability across field, office, and warehouse functions
  • Strong financial acumen including forecasting, budgeting, and margin management
  • Demonstrated ability to build structure, drive execution, and scale operations in a fast-moving environment
  • A track record of developing leaders and building team depth, not just managing headcount
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

What Will Make You Stand Out?

  • You've led in a service-based, field-driven environment and you know what it takes to earn credibility on both sides of the desk
  • You have executive presence without losing touch with the front line. Your team follows you because they respect you, not just your title
  • You've improved performance without burning out your people, and you have a point of view on how those two things connect
  • When things get hard, you get clearer. Calm, decisive, and focused on what the business needs
  • You've operated inside a PE-backed or high-growth company and know how to perform when the bar keeps moving
  • Fire protection, life safety, or a closely related trade services background is part of your story. You understand the technical environment your team works in every day
