Who We Are

At Encore Fire Protection, we are proud to be the east coast's largest full-service fire protection company, serving over 90,000 customers from Maine to Louisiana. With a team of over 2,200 dedicated employees, we provide innovative, customized fire suppression, fire sprinkler, and fire alarm solutions that protect lives and properties every day.

Our goal is to deliver superior experience to those who trust us to safeguard what matters most. We are passionate about continuous growth, innovation, and maintaining a culture that thrives on success and commitment to safety. Our mission? To be the best fire protection company the industry has ever seen.

The Opportunity

Encore’s purchasing team plays a critical role in keeping materials flowing, projects on schedule, and technicians equipped across multiple states. We are looking for a Purchasing Specialist who can balance speed with accuracy, stay organized in a high-volume workflow, and spot issues before they slow anything down.

This role requires someone who enjoys comparing vendors, solving material shortages, keeping pricing accurate, and making sure the right part gets to the right place at the right time. If you are the kind of person who catches an incorrect unit price from a mile away, you will thrive here.

Key Responsibilities

Your work centers on turning a stream of material requests, part numbers, and vendor quotes into the right item landing in the right place at the right time. You get a quiet sense of satisfaction from a clean PO, an accurate unit price, and solving a “we are out of this” problem before anyone on the job site even knows about it.

  • Organize product requests and identify the best vendor based on pricing, location, and availability.
  • Place accurate purchase orders with suppliers, ensuring correct part numbers, pricing, and delivery schedules.
  • Communicate material availability and updates to product managers and project teams.
  • Work closely with Accounts Payable and internal partners to resolve supplier payment discrepancies.
  • Maintain supplier relationships and support tactical purchasing activities including pricing discussions and terms.
  • Track pricing trends, lead times, and material changes and share insights with the Purchasing Manager and relevant teams.
  • Support purchasing documentation, process updates, and system accuracy.
  • Assist with maintaining inventory and forecasting needs when required.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Three years of purchasing or procurement experience in a high volume, service-oriented, or construction environment
  • Strong attention to detail with consistent accuracy in data entry and order placement
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining organization and follow through
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using purchasing or inventory management software
  • Clear and professional communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across teams
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate needs, identify issues early, and recommend solutions

What Will Make You Stand Out?

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field.
  • You have experience working in a private equity-backed environment or within a scaling, growth-oriented business.
