To the outside world we refer to this position as the Account Executive but internally, we've been struggling to get away from the slightly more descriptive title of SOW. SOW refers to share of wallet and that is exactly what this position is all about. Your primary focus and goal is to develop and build upon our existing customer accounts to make those relationships more "sticky" by adding additional services, executing on contract renewals, and asking for additional locations and/or referrals.   As part of Encore's mission to be the best fire protection company the industry has ever seen, we have recently joined forces with Fire Service Group, based out of Palmer, Massachusetts. This partnership not only allows us to expand our footprint and find top talent in the MA area, it also allows us to work with industry leaders who strive for same level of excellence as we do.   The Account Executive is really a hybrid between an Inbound Marketer, an Outside Sales Consultant, and a Relationship Building Machine. It's true, people buy from who they like, so if you have an inherent love of and desire to serve clients, this could be the opportunity for you. It is also imperative that you not be offended by the SOW reference because despite best intentions, we really can't get away from the acronym.   Our Account Executives are responsible for augmenting our External Sales efforts by taking ownership of several critical functions including but not limited to: sourcing bid opportunities (public and private), completion of proposals, identifying cross-sale opportunities within our existing customer base of 4,000+, and facilitating the renewal of existing customer contracts.     Requirements: We fully believe in the concept of hiring for attitude and training for skill, especially when it comes to our sales positions, and that is because the most successful members of our sales team share more than a few commonalities. HubSpot CRM a bonus and the ability to self-teach our industry specific service platform, Service Trade   Benefits: As a company, Encore is hyper-focused on developing a culture that thrives on success and is energized by the fact that we get to make peoples' lives better and safer each day. One of the ways we do this is by generously rewarding all those who contribute to our continued growth. But we also believe that not all rewards are monetary. The A-Players on our team exhibit the following characteristics: - A natural inclination toward putting customers first - Willingness to try learn, new things, admit mistakes, adapt and change - Impenetrable focus - Takes pride in doing the right thing - Embraces a team-first attitude - Meets obstacles head-on when it comes to achieving set goals or objectives - Commits to being truthful, direct, and honest in every interaction In addition to these intangibles there are a few hard skills that will make one candidate stand out over another: - Minimum 3-years professional work experience - Excellent communication skills both verbal and written - Above average proficiency with technology - Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint at a minimum. If you have a compulsion for accuracy and a minimum of 1-3 years’ experience excelling in a payroll related job (preferably in the Construction or Service Industry) then we’d like to meet you! A specialist, by definition, is a person that has the ability to excel in a specific field, so we are seeking someone who has exposure to payroll processes and the desire to expand their professional experience.   As a Payroll Specialist working as part of a team, we will be counting on you to come in, quickly provide support of our current process, and use your skills to help identify ways to improve efficiency wherever possible. Consistent with most construction and service companies, we follow a weekly payroll schedule which requires consideration for multiple jobs, in multiples states, with occasional prevailing wage requirements for just over 1000 employees. On top of that, your day to day responsibilities will include: - Accumulating and reconciling timecards for just under 1000 employees spanning multiple offices across New England - Ensuring reported hours are properly coded to the applicable job - Serving as the primary point of contact for employees to research and resolve payroll-related issues in a timely manner - Maintain employee personnel records which may include access to pay rates, changes in pay, vacation and sick time balances and other sensitive information   Requirements: There are certainly technical skills required to do this job well, however, we have identified more than a few common characteristics in the A-Players on our team, across all departments that we consider more heavily: - Passionately committed to the success of themselves, their team, and Encore - Understanding that sometimes it takes a little extra to get the job done; whether that means staying late, coming in early, taking on an additional project or helping a teammate finish an assignment of theirs - Unwavering belief that putting in that extra effort does not go unnoticed in the long run - A natural desire to be part of a team but an even stronger desire to be the best on said team - Willingness to try new things, admit mistakes, adapt and change   If you exhibit all or some of the characteristics above, you’ve got 90% of what we’re looking for! On top of these intangibles, the technical skills we are looking for include: - You must be a numbers person. Please be honest about this point. If you are not a numbers person, you will not be happy in this position. - 1-3 years' experience working in a professional role with payroll responsibility, with experience working with SAGE and/or Certified Payroll a plus - Above average proficiency with technology. Walking in the door, you have to know the Microsoft Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel above all others) beyond that, we need someone with verifiable ability to adapt to new and emerging platforms - College degree preferred but not required   Benefits: As a company, Encore is hyper-focused on developing a culture that thrives on success and is energized by the fact that we get to make peoples' lives better and safer each day. One of the ways we do this is by generously rewarding all those who contribute to our continued growth. But we also believe that not all rewards are monetary. As part of Encore's mission to be the best fire protection company the industry has ever seen, we have recently joined forces with City Fire Equipment Co. based out of East Hanover, New Jersey. This partnership not only allows us to expand our footprint and find top talent in the NJ area, it also allows us to work with industry leaders who strive for same level of excellence as we do. The A-Players on our team exhibit the following characteristics: - A natural inclination towards putting customers first - Willingness to try learn, new things, admit mistakes, adapt and change - Impenetrable focus - Takes pride in doing the right thing - Embraces a team-first attitude - Meets obstacles head-on when it comes to achieving set goals or objectives - Commits to being truthful, direct, and honest in every interaction In addition to these intangibles there are a few hard skills that will make one candidate stand out over another: - Minimum 3-years professional work experience - Excellent communication skills both verbal and written - Above average proficiency with technology - Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint at a minimum.
